Jerry studied acrylic painting with Ronald Hayes one of the inventors of the medium at Massachusetts College of Art. Creative work for rock bands and zines came during college. After college Jerry's first regular gig was house illustrator for the first gay newspaper in the world, The Bay Area Reporter. The San Francisco Bay Guardian followed as well as illustrating for The Industry Standard and The Commonwealth Club of California. Jerry still whips out the occasional illustration and painting. Some pieces from his series "Other Peoples Memories" are included below.
